Description
Denso Iridium Spark Plug Iridium plugs have an extremely long life as Iridium is 6x harder and 8x stronger than platinum. Because of the strength and hardness of iridium, there is virtually no electrode wear. This combined with a platinum ground electrode, creates a spark plug that is almost impervious to wear even under extreme driving or racing conditions. Technical Specifications - Extra Long Life Iridium Plug, 14mm Thread, 19mm (3/4") Reach, 5/8" (16mm) Hex Size, Gasket Seat, Resistor, Solid Terminal, 0.7mm Fine Wire Iridium-Tipped Center Electrode, Platinum Tipped Ground Electrode, .044" (1.1mm) Gap

These are the same OEM plugs for a 2002 Toyota highlander that lasted at least 80,000 miles. I just replaced them as part of maintenance schedule. One thing that actually surprised me about these plugs being a Toyota OEM part, they're actually stamped Made in USA. Does that matter? Maybe, maybe not but regardless where they're made, the manufacturing facilities should be quality controlled by Denso themselves for the part to bear their name.I installed these Denso Amazon plugs on my 2006 Toyota Sienna 3.3L, along with brand new coil packs that were purchased from another authorized online retailer. The results were a very rough idle. Reaching the position of these plugs requires a lot of work and time. I spent days trying to figure out the cause. In the end I spent more time removing these plugs and replacing them with NGK Lasers, which i purchased at retail price at the local parts store. It solved the problem. There are serous quality issues with these plugs, maybe that's why they're on sale. I could not return because I spent time trying to figure out the problem and was past the return date. $53 dollars wasted.Upon further research online. It turns out buying popular brands through amazon has had some serious quality issues. If you have hard to reach plugs I would not risk buying these because of the 29% off retail price. Pay full price from a reputable authorized store and save yourself the headache and money. I really do question these plugs. So do your homework. Its up to you to be the judge on whats really going on here. The plug was recommended as "a fit" for my vehicle and listed as pre gapped. After installation, my vehicle ran rough and mileage was awful! I took the plugs out and checked the plug gap and they were not properly pre gapped. I had to adjust all the plugs. After that, the issue was resolved. Therefore; I highly recommend checking the plug gaps before installing these plugs.Fits my 2004 SE Camry perfectly1991 Lexus LS400 - When it was time for me to buy spark plugs my Shadetree Mechanic advised me to buy iridium type spark plugs. I didn't know what Iridium Spark Plugs were so I fired up the old computer and went to Amazon to investigate. Wow! These things sound great! I first found the Bosch Spark Plugs. They are "Double Iridium"! Two is better than one right? Also, they are named after that macho LA Police Detective on that show! How cool is that? I hope he's getting residuals. So, I wanted to get those. My Shadetree Mechanic, who is wet blanket when it comes to getting cool car parts, said no, you don't need Double Iridium Spark Plugs for your car. They are are a waste of your money. I said, but if single iridium spark plugs are supposed to last 100,000 miles or a 1,000 years, whichever comes first, then the double iridium tipped ones will last 2,000 years! You're a man, isn't more always better? My Shadetree Mechanic then gives me the look of, I'm going to charge you double for you insolence you crazy occidental if you keep talking this way. In order to win my argument I made a last ditch effort plea. I said, If I cheapen out my car will know and she will leave me! My Shadetree Mechanic then charged me twice for my back talk. Life goes on. I recommend this brand of spark plug for your 1st Generation LexusI bought these to replace the factory spark plugs on my 2005 Camry 2.4L I4. I'm at around 58K miles but the original plugs are about to hit 11 years old. For the price, I decided to just replace them. I wasn't seeing any particular problems except for a slight vibration at idle w/ the AC on but I consider that completely normal. I didn't want to leave the originals in for 15+ years and not be able to get them out, despite Toyota saying they are good for 100K miles.Steps for the Toyota 2.4L:- Remove plastic cover from top of engine (if equipped)- Remove coil pack boots- Remove old spark plugs (mine were NGK)- Install new plugs- Put coil pack boots back on- Put plastic cover back onThis was my first time replacing spark plugs and it was very easy! As my car gets older I am learning how to do things on it, like brakes and whatever else. I changed my PCV + PCV hose along with my spark plugs and the car feels better. Gas mileage is the same, pretty crappy in the city but I drive "spiritedly" - idle is smooth, engine runs quietly.I opted NOT to put anti-seize, I read online that there's some kind of coating on the plugs already and that both Denso and NGK advise against anti-seize as well. It has to do with it changing the torque values. If these plugs last another ten years, I will probably get rid of the car before I ever have to change it again anyway.Overall, very happy. I think the price is fair for iridium tipped plugs that will last 100K miles. My factory plugs still looked very good after 58K miles / 11 years so I have no doubt that these will last a while as well.Do know if they increased fuel economy, too many other variables with a p0505 engine code. Longevity...tell you in 100,000 miles. These are pre-gappeople at .44, so confirm the gap, install and go. Easy-peisy.Smooth car ride after replacing these along with variable valve timing in Toyota avalon."Check engine light never appeared again"Quick shipping.Direct replacement for factory spark plugs.Gute Zündkerzen und ich werde die auch 2 mal kaufenGoodBesser als Original (das sind die originale Zündkerzen, nur viel günstiger) und das freut mich.
